After a whirlwind beginning, I married my husband after knowing each other for just nine months. We’ve now been married for 15 years and had our shares of ups and downs. One thing I know for sure, is that whilst we had a strong physical connection, in the beginning, it was never the glue that would hold us together for a lifetime.
I believe communication is key - not just about what happens in the bedroom, but everything in between. Life is long and winding and if you can’t talk stuff through, it’s going to feel pretty lonely. Making time for each other and forgiving each other's foibles are important - but so too is choosing someone you believe you can walk that path with in the first place.
This episode isn’t just for women who are married, it’s for anyone who’s single, divorced, separated, engaged or even sworn off partnership altogether. Really, it’s about love, communication and compassion. And finding a way to navigate those things in a world full of comparison. How do we listen to our hearts? And to each other, at the same time?
And most importantly, how to have fun while we do it.
