Hi i'm Briony Kennedy the founder of adorn cosmetics now this is one of my spring go-to looks so if you're looking for something with a little bit of radiance and a pop of color these are the products that i love you can of course substitute them in and out for shades that you like but this is a really good set for most skin types now i have popped my base on already i'm using the liquid foundation and the very next thing i do for all of my looks is put a little bit of our soothing barrier balm on my lips the reason i do this as a very first step to all of my makeup is so that by the time i get to my lips they are soft and they're not as dry and crouched which you don't want when you are putting a lipstick on you don't want the pigment in your lipstick to grab to your lips and that dryness so pop that on or a lip balm or some description just to get the lips nice and moist before you start your lips okay so what i'm going to do is start with my eyes now you might like to put your base on after you've done your eyes especially if you're still learning how to get the application right without all of the fallout or if you're using darker colors it's probably more advantageous to do your eye makeup first and then put your foundation on last this particular look is pretty easy in respects to the shades that i'm using they're not too dark and they're fairly easy to wipe away so i'm going to just put the concealer on as the last step so that i don't get any of the fallout from my eyeshadow into the concealer so the first thing that i like to do and this is not something you have to do but i like to put on our prime prep and blend just so it helps to even out any of the skin tone and the blue and the red veins on my eyelids and i just find by doing this it just makes my eye shadow look more realistic to the actual color that it is and it's not being distorted by the veins so of course if i've got red or blue veins distorting my eyeshadow color i'm not going to get as an intense color i also like the fact that this prime prep and blend also makes the eye shadow cling to it and it gives a heap more intensity so that is the very first step for me now what i'm going to do is pop on the cream eyeshadow in piece oh it looks almost like my nail polish which is kind of cool all right so i'm going to pop this on and you can use any of the flat brushes in our 15 piece brush kit i'm gonna use the number seven and i'm just putting this on like a wash of color so it's a very nice nudey sort of a color it's almost got a little bit of a salmon undertone to it and i'm just going to sweep that all over my eye lid and up to my brow bone now that's a really pretty color just on its own it's a really nice day put an eyeliner on perfect good to go but the next step for me is putting a pop of color on and the next product that i'll be using for that is one of our brights eyeshadows and i'll be using the orange shade now again you can do this with any color that you would like i'm just using this because it's a really beautiful spring color and it's also one of my favorite colors orange and red are colors that i wear a lot whether it's my clothing or in my makeup i just love these colors now i'm going to use a dome brush okay when i mean a dome it's round in width and it's also round on the top now there's a couple of different sizes in the adorned 15 piece brush kit the smaller one that you can get the better because you're getting more concentration of the color so we want to focus this particular look just in the crease so the shorter the dome brush the better concentration of color that you're going to get and then we can use a bigger one to blend a bit more later so putting a little bit of color i've blended any excess away on the lid and i am just focusing on my inner crease now it's much easier to add more so a little bit at a time and just add as you need whilst i'm building up color and i'm getting the intensity that i'm after i do actually go from one eye to the next i feel that if you just focus on one eye it can become quite out of balance so for me i do keep flicking between my eyes so that i'm constantly looking to make sure they're balanced the color is the same intensity on both sides and then i'll finish it off with a larger dome brush to do all of the blending for me so at this stage it's really about getting your selected color on to the intensity that you're happy with and the placement that you're happy with you now you'll notice that once i've got my crease fairly down pat it's not blended just yet but now that i've got the crease to the intensity that i like i'm changing the way i'm using my brush i'm using a pressing motion now rather than a sweeping motion i'm using a pressing motion onto my brow bone just here because i want the pigment to be quite intense and you can do that in your crease if you want to you can press rather than sweep the eye shadow you do get more intensity so definitely pressing where you want more intensity and of course it's better for your eyes and that delicate skin you also get less fall out too doing it that way now all i'm concerned about at the moment is getting the placement right on my eyes so this the color is the same height and you don't have to take it up as high as me you might just like to keep this in the crease that's completely up to you okay now what i'm going to do is use a brow or an under brow enhancing eye shadow shade and the one that i'm using here is invincible now this one has a slight shimmer to it so if you've got quite uh a high area of skin here of your excess skin or you've got quite wrinkly skin you might prefer to use the base eye shadow or a nude eye shadow this with that little bit of shimmer just gives the illusion of a higher arch and it just opens the eyes up that little bit more now i'm going to use a longer dome brush so you can see that's a lot higher than the one that i was just using and that's because i want this one to blend the orange as well as apply the invincible or the more nudie shade that you've decided on so you get a very very tiny amount blended onto the lid and you'll see that by using this bigger brush and a lighter shade it's going to actually blend away any of this line of orange eyeshadow here and it's going to self blend it's going to create the effortless blending where it looks like you've spent hours doing it but you've really just grabbed a longer bigger brush to blend away that edging look at that just in a couple of strokes all of that top area is blended perfectly and i'll show you how we'll blend in here in a moment perfect now you might choose another color and be really daring go for another bright color from the eyeshadow range or something a little bit more subdued i'm just keeping this super simple and i'm again using the invincible just in this section of my eye one it's going to blend this away that that line and it's also going to create a nice open eye with the slight little bit of shimmer that it has to it perfect it's perfectly blended you can't see any lines with that eyeshadow perfect and again it's just looking back at your eyes making sure that they're even and that the blending is done effortlessly if you think you've blended it well just spend a couple more minutes doing it and just then it will be perfect okay a little bit extra than what you think and then the blending will be perfect all right so now what i'm going to do is create some definition and i'm going to do that by using the skinny wind up black eyeliner i want to create the illusion i've got thicker lashes than i do and you can do that by using eyeliner at the baseline of your eyes or you can also use an eyeshadow if you want to now if you're not great at a crisp line that's fine get your line on and then you can smudge it with an eyeshadow brush so you never need to start again okay so get the crisp line if that's what you're after or pop the line on and then smudge it and smoke it out with one of the eyeshadow brushes now a little tip for me is that when you are wanting to create a little bit of a flick just pop the black eyeliner or any eyeliner you're using in that real corner of your eye and then flick up and that will naturally give you a good guide as to where you want your eyeliner to focus rather than accidentally following your eye down and giving you a droopy looking eye so this is your first step to get your eyeliner placement right so get it right in the corner of your eye here and flick up towards the edge of your brow and then you've got really good placement now i'm not going to leave it exactly there but you can see already how that's given a little bit of a lift to my eyes now i'm going to grab the eyeliner and run it backwards to join to my eyelashes or my eyelash line and see how much height this eye has to this eye now this part of the eye can be a little bit tricky so what i recommend is either using an angle brush in your 15 piece brush kit it looks a little bit like this or you might find it in our seven piece brush kit as well so you can definitely use an angle brush to keep that really nice crisp line especially in this area or a little tip is if you actually focus on the in inner water line and that way you'll focus more on getting a straight line and a skinnier line than focusing above the lashes so you're going underneath the lashes in the waterline area so there i've got a perfect line defining my lashes awesome now what i'm going to do is just finish up with the concealer underneath my eyes just before i um finish off with a little bit more of an extended wing on my eyeliner but at least i've got the placement where i'm happy with so the concealer just need to pop a little bit under the eyes i just like to use the peachy sleeper you can use a concealer that's the same shade as your foundation um for some of you you might need to go for well you can maybe go for a little bit of a lighter shade but if you've got excess skin under here always opt for a shade that's exactly the same as your foundation because lighter things make things look bigger i've got quite flat skin dark circles and my main concern so i can use a concealer that's a little bit lighter but i think it's still a good idea to at least match your foundation so a little bit on your ring finger blend it onto your other ring finger and just pat it on like you would an eye cream right into the corners there and look at that that's just given me a new lease on life i look like i've had sleep i love it voila so a little bit of concealer goes a long way you don't want to apply so much that it will crease throughout the day there is a fine line between hiding your dark circles or your bags and actually exasperating the look of them so it's a little bit you're not going to completely hide them if you put too much on you're going to make that issue look worse so a little bit a little bit of concealer is quite effective okay so i'm going to get back to my eyeliner and i'm now going to again using that corner method just keep flicking it up to and i'm kind of closing my eyes a little bit and i'm flicking it up to my brow line it's very small tickles i'm not putting much pressure on the skin either okay now i want to show you if you do have an angle brush how you can actually make this easier again or even more extended and that really nice line that gradually gets thinner and thinner so all you need to do is grab an angle brush like this you can either use the product that's already there or you just tickle it onto your pencil to get some of the color on the bristles the longest part of this brush first to the corner of your eye again and you just flick up now i'm just supporting my hand here you don't want to be lifting up your eyes or moving the skin around because if i was to do it like this and put it on when i relax it it's not going to look the same so if you can keep your eyes just natural the way they're looking then you're going to get the best eye shadow application and the eyeliner application for you i just have a habit of supporting my face like this just because i'm putting my hands somewhere but definitely don't be lifting up the eye area so you can see that's given me a nice wing and i'm going to just put a little bit more on the brush because it's starting to fade out a little bit i need a bit more product there we go perfect and again the same on the other eye we use the longer part of the angle brush first i don't need to support my head as much on this side okay and again a little bit more now if you've got fair hair or quite fair skin you might want to opt for the brown eyeliner but if you've got darkest darker hair darker skin then the black eyeliner will be fine perfect now what i also like using the angle brush for is just to also fix up any if i've made my line a little bit wonky you can of course use this get it really close to the lash line and because the brush is nice and skinny and thin the line stays crisp when you're using a pencil of course as you're moving that across your eye the pencil is getting more blunt so your line tends to get thicker so unless you plan on sharpening it the whole time that's what can cause these excess excessively thick lines so i think if you're a bit of a novice sometimes using the angle brush is best perfect now that's given some really good definition i'm going to move on now to just quickly curling my lashes with a dawn's curling lash wand and all you need to do is just get in with this top silver part here push it onto the eyelid and you'll see how that's just lifted my lashes then all you need to do is gently clamp down and then just lift up a little bit just so that they curl from the roots and let go so that see they've just given an ever so gentle lift and i'll do that again on that side but again don't try and grab your lashes like this you've got to put this top part of the silver onto your eyelid and push down and see how look look at that all i did was just push down and my eyelashes have grabbed up and then it's made it super easy to grab them once i'm comfortable with the lashes that i've grabbed i'll just gently lift up the lash curler and look at that okay and i'll do it again this side perfect okay now what i'm going to do is put a little bit of the orange underneath my eyes okay so just to extend that color a little bit i'm using the same small dome brush okay perfect and if you wanted to you could definitely put a little bit of eyeliner just on the outer corner of your eyelashes so just the roots of the lashes because you don't want to go over the orange so just a little bit here just to give a bit of definition you can do your inner rim if you want to but just remember that it's not going to stay put so you will need to reapply that throughout the day because the rim of the inner eye area is of course wet now i like to just put this eyeliner on the outer third i don't like to go the whole way i feel it minimizes my eyes too much then i just grab the same dome brush that's got a little bit of the orange on it and i just blend away that line so it's not harsh okay now i'm going to finish off my eyes and then we'll move on to cheeks and lips to finish off the look so the first thing i'm going to do is put a little bit of lash primer on to lengthen and thicken the appearance so there we go and you can use a waterproof or our hello lashes mascara that's totally up to you okay and then applying the mascara okay now that i don't have as much on the wand i'm going to put a little bit of the mascara on my lower lashes so my before i do my second coat of mascara i've focused my mascara on the base of the lashes so there's not really any on the tops so that when i do my lower lashes and i look look up i'm not going to get mascara on my eyelid area you also don't want too much mascara on the wand to do the lower lashes or they can get quite clumpy looking so that's why i just do a quick coat on the tops just to get any excess off to do the lower lashes okay perfect and now the second coat tickle the outer lashes uh okay done now you can add some false lashes on now if you'd like to you could let this mascara just set for a little bit and add a third coat if you really want to extend the look of your lash tips just on the outer edge now this is a really good time to if you want to just touch up and make your line that little bit more intense when you've got your mascara on you can definitely add a little bit more and i just find that sometimes it just gives good placement when you've curled your lashes you've curled them up so you kind of know where to go you kind of can use your eyelashes as a bit of a guide so see how i've just extended that and given it a little bit more intensity perfect okay so that's nothing wrong with just going back and forth and that's the tip that i'll give you with any makeup get the products on so that you're happy with them and then maybe move on to something else let it settle for a bit maybe as you add more layers you'll think oh i just need a little bit more coverage or maybe the orange now that i've got eyeliner is not as intense as i'd like it just add a little bit more it's totally fine while you're getting used to a different look and different products that suit you and the intensity that suits you so you can keep going back and forth that is fine all right so the next thing i'm going to do is my cheeks so one thing that i like to do is use two different colors one to give a really nice gentle flush to lift the face it almost gives you a natural face lift and then i'll use a secondary color as a pop of color on my apples of my cheeks so the color that i love to use for this as my base most times is our spring creme blush and it's a really beautiful baby nude color and i find for most these suits everybody if you've got a darker skin you might like to use our winter cream but for this particular look this is the color i love so i just get a little bit i pop it on both areas of the base of my thumb and i use my mid section of my nose as a guide and i press it on up into the temples and then back around the cheekbones up into the temples what i love about this color is it's almost an extension of your foundation so it does offer a little bit of color and coverage so it's a beautiful color in its own right it's really soft and it just gives the face a lift so what we want to do now is bring back that radiance that healthy glow that color back to the face that the foundations often take away so the next color i'm going to use is the coral radiance in the loose now you can of course use a pop of color by using the cream coral radiance but i'm using the loose because i just want a little bit more intensity so i'm using one of our bigger dome blush bronzer brushes you can use a smaller one if you wanted to but i'm just going to pop this on a really small amount and i'm just dabbing that on the apples of my cheeks and it's such a pretty color that coral radiance it's a little bit more subdued than the orange but it pairs really well with that color a little bit more so this is a really good way of wearing bright blush colors but without putting them all over the cheeks and looking like you've got heavy makeup on put a really nice base nudie one on like the spring cream and then a pop of beautiful color just on the apples of the cheeks now when i've when i'm happy with the overall placement of my blush what i then do is i just wipe off any excess with a tissue and i just gently sweep across my whole under eye and cheekbone because any of the residual blush that's on there will just very very very lightly go just under the eyes bringing it all together very gradually because i don't want blush here concealer here where it looks very segmented so i always like to use the brush that's applied the product i wipe off any excess and then i'll just gently sweep over that whole area to give it a really blended look that's the beauty of the minerals is they interlink really well and you can put loose over creams and creams over loose which is not something you can do with traditional makeup but often you need to stick the loose and the creams need to stick with the creams but it's very very uh flexible with the adorned minerals whether they're liquid creams or loose okay so what i'm going to do now is pop on a little bit of the pigment blend okay so the pigment blend is just a product that i'm going to use just to help combat some of this pigment that i've got here but i also like it because it gives a bit of warmth to my skin so that i don't just look one dimensional yes i've got the beautiful radiance of the blush on but i feel sometimes that just giving a little bit of color to the forehead area or even just the sides of the forehead just gives some warmth to the skin again it's about creating dimension and you do that by introducing different colors and of course different textures so whether it's a luminescent product or more matte product you'll get different looks now if you've got a smaller forehead area just focus on this outer sort of corners here but if you've got a normal sort of size or a larger sort of spot forward like myself you might want to take it the whole way along and just pop that back into the hairline if you've got fair hair you might want to place your hands so you're not or even one of our makeup bands just so you're not getting it into your hair so you can see look at how healthy this side of my face looks compared to this side just looks a little bit flat healthier flat so i'm emulating i guess where the sun would probably naturally kiss me which is on the on the forehead area and i am just blending that very gently over my pigment it's definitely toned my pigment down which is great i like to go down into my temples a little bit as well because i do have a bit of pigment down there and voila again what i do is i wait till i'm happy with the coverage and then with what's left on the brush i just sweep all over the forehead so that i don't have a band of product so very gently sweep over there if you've got any excess that you want to just maybe bring down your nose over your mouth area just to bring it all together perfect okay so moving on let's get our skin looking super dewy before we do lips so the loose illuminizer is still after 12 years one of our best selling products and it is because it's so pretty and it suits most people and i'm not sure if you can even see it oh here we go see it in this lighting but it's a really nice salmon skin finish it's not too glittery um it's not glittery at all it's just a really nice radiance to the skin and it's a product that i always wear so i'm going to use our larger angle brush in the 15 piece brush kit i'm grabbing about that much using the lid to get it nice and even on the brush which also helps get rid of any excess so that you're not getting any fall out where you don't want it now for me i'm going to put this in my temples and just over the top of my blush now the reason i like to put it in my temple area is as you get older you can get a little bit more sallow there or hollow and so what that does is gives you illusion that that's a little bit more fuller so an illumina illuminizing product can give the illusion of fullness and also the illusion of more dewy radiant healthy skin so you want to pop it where the sun would naturally hit you and give a little bit of sheen and it's temples the cheekbones even just the corner in here a little bit there now in person you'll see this a lot better obviously in the camera i don't use any filters it's a little bit harder to pick up on it but you can see a little bit of that sheen definitely see it on this side so when people look at me they'll just naturally see oh yeah you can see look at that just a very natural sheen okay it's not like wall you've got a luminizer on and you can see it you want it to be in person looking very natural now if you've got a forehead that is quite flat and it's not too wrinkly you could definitely pop a little bit down the middle to give that chewiness if you've got a lot of lines well i wouldn't do that because it will make the line stand out so if you've got fine lines or deep lines don't put a luminizer on those areas okay one of the little tricks that i love with this particular product is giving the illusion of a bigger pout so i do that by just grabbing a brush and it doesn't really matter which brush um and i put a little bit of this illuminizer on my cupid's bow now this is actually a perfect eyeshadow color too it's beautiful it's just so multi-purpose which i love um pure pigment you don't need a lot and all i do is i just put a little bit on my cupid's bow trying to talk while i'm doing this i've got about that much on and see how it's created a curl so it's curled my lip up again if you've got fine lines on your lips don't do this but this is a really natural way of giving a pout to the mouth okay and the same i just place a little bit on the lower lip line so it's creating fullness to the middle of my mouth and i'm going to show you in a moment my ombre lip look that i love doing because again it just enhances the power of the mouth and that's by using two different lipsticks now just to show you how versatile this product is you can definitely use this to open up the eyes you could pop a little bit just in the corners here by pressing it in and look at how alive that eye looks to this one just such a simple quick product and a quick extra step just place it right in the corner there oh and even underneath if you want to put a little bit underneath oh beautiful and it's also of again a product that you could use as an eyeshadow under the brow as well now if you wanted to take your lips one step further you could put this in the middle of the mouth as well it just helps to keep that central part of your pout more nude and lighter than the rest of your mouth which is going to create the illusion of a bigger pout so that lighter things are bigger darker things look smaller so by doing this this building up of the nude section or the lighter section of my middle area i'm going to create the illusion of bigger lips okay so that's the illuminizer again you could pop this on your collarbone you could put it on your arms on your legs to give a really healthy shimmer the world is your oyster when it comes to that product it is so versatile and so pretty okay so lips now i've got pop of color on my eyes but it's not too dark and too intense so i think you can be a little bit more adventurous and put something quite bright on your mouth as well i i do feel that if you've gone really heavy on your eyes keep your lips quite nude or if your lips are quite heavy vice versa try not to make it too much eye makeup and a bold lip but i think with this it's actually quite natural still with a little bit of a pop of color that i can pull off a brighter lip so i'm going to use the briny lipstick so that's the bright spy briony lipstick how crazy and beautiful is this color all right so i'm going to pop this on and then i'm going to show you my on ombre look how exquisite is this color oh my favorite that's why it's called brownie okay so get the color on this is the briny as i said there might be a different bright color that you'd like to use and the trick here is to get a nude that you're comfortable with to pop in the middle now i am using twiggy okay and this is a really nice matte nude i quite love this color it suits most of the bright lipsticks that i like to put on so all you do here is just put this in to the central part of your mouth just like that and then just press down together your lips and look at that not only has it given a pout but it's also toned the lipstick down so if you're trying to be a bit more adventurous with wearing a bolder lip this is a way of just getting that color toning it down a little bit but just in the center and the bonus is your lips will look bigger now if you want to ramp this up even more then you add a really shimmery gloss over the top now l is the one i'm going to use and i'm just going to focus again i'm just focusing it on the pout section of my mouth now if you don't want to wreck the color or just color your l gloss all you need to do is just pop a little bit on your hand just by wiping the wand onto your hand like that use your ring finger sweep up that gloss and press it on now what i love about these glosses are they're not sticky and i also feel that if you are someone who wants your lipstick to stay on a lot longer glosses can of course make your lipstick wear off a little bit quicker than if you just wear a lipstick by itself so this tip to give that real fullness is great but also good if you just keep it to that central part of the mouth because you've not got the gloss in the corners here so your lipstick's still going to stay on for a lot longer because you've not got this wet area where your mouth is constantly touching and talking this area is a little bit more exposed and not likely to be pressing down as much so the gloss will stay put a lot better so there's a little tip with wearing gloss with a lipstick don't put it the whole way just put it in the pout and you'll find your lipstick and the gloss last a lot longer okay so that is my tip for my spring radiance pop of color routine all i need to do now is get on a nice outfit head off to i don't know outdoors barbecue when we're allowed to do my hair and i'm good to go i hope you've enjoyed this i hope you've picked up a few tips along the way and of course if you haven't got any of these products you can either grab a sample or grab these on the website i hope you've enjoyed it and i look forward to seeing your spring look too
