With proper care and cleaning, our refillable skincare and refillable makeup packaging can be refilled multiple times,
offering long-lasting use.
Yes! When appropriately cleaned between refilling, your Adorn packaging will remain hygienic, functional, and safe for repeated use.
We recommend cleaning your packaging thoroughly prior to dispensing each new refill to maintain hygiene, avoid cross-contamination, and ensure optimal product performance.
Cleaning your skincare packaging is the first step and crucial to avoiding cross-contamination of your new skincare.
1. Remove the lid and pump from your empty jar base.
2. Push the inner plate of the jar back down to the bottom.
3. Wash all parts thoroughly with hot, soapy water.
4. Rinse well, place upside down, and allow everything to air dry completely.
5. Alternatively, sanitise and wipe clean each component using 70% Isopropyl Alcohol or Ethanol from the chemist.
The ingredients we avoid to prioritise health and the planet are:
Parabens & Phthalates – Linked to hormone disruption
Chemical Sunscreens – Including Oxybenzone and Octinoxate, known for environmental harm
Petrolatum, Paraffin & Mineral Oils – Due to unsustainable sourcing and contamination risks
Synthetic Fragrance – Can cause skin irritation
PFAS (Forever Chemicals) – Linked to health concerns and environmental damage
Bismuth Oxychloride - Can cause itchy skin especially in the warmer weather
Cochineal (Non vegan)- a scale insect in the suborder Sternorrhyncha, from which the natural dye carmine is derived to create red colours.
Nanosized Titanium Dioxide - we only use non-nanosized particles too large to penetrate the skin.
Talc - may contain the known carcinogen asbestos
BHA & BHT - preservatives linked to several health concerns including endocrine disruption and organ-system toxicity
Formaldehyde - preservative linked to skin allergies
Phenoxyethanol - preservative linked to skin allergies
