Who is Adorn Cosmetics?

Adorn is an Australian, family-owned and female-founded beauty brand. Briony Kennedy started Adorn in 2008 with one aim. Beauty should be kind to your skin and the planet. We were the first brand in the world to make makeup and skincare refillable.

Everything is made in Australia in small batches. We sell directly to you, so there are no middlemen and no waste sitting in warehouses.

Is Adorn makeup suitable for mature or sensitive skin?

Yes. Our formulas are developed specifically for mature, dry and sensitive skin. They are certified toxin- and allergen-free by Safe Cosmetics Australia. There are no parabens, sulphates, petrochemicals, synthetic fragrances or drying alcohols.

Our makeup is also vegan, cruelty-free and gluten-free. Skin that reacts to conventional makeup usually gets along well with ours.

What makes refillable makeup different?

When your product runs out, you refill it. You keep the jar or compact and simply replace the contents. Refills cost less than buying new each time.

Our customers have made over 221,000 refills since 2010. Together, that has kept more than 11,000kg of packaging out of landfill. We have also never used single-use boxes or plastic seals.

How do I choose my foundation shade?

Match to your jawline in natural daylight, not your hand. If you sit between two shades, choose the lighter one. Our team is always happy to help you choose. Just message us before or after you order.

Not sure which foundation suits you? The SPF 20 Mineral Foundation is a loose powder with buildable coverage and built-in sun protection. The Hydrating Cream Foundation Stick suits drier skin and gives a dewy, fuller-coverage finish.

Your order arrives without single-use boxes or plastic seals. It is wrapped in reusable, post-consumer recycled paper and shipped in a biodegradable bag. Anything that cannot be refilled can be returned to us for recycling.
