Adorn Cosmetics’ mineral foundations are Australian-approved SPF 20+, offering broad-spectrum UVA and UVB protection. SPF measures how well a product absorbs or blocks UVB rays. For example, properly applied SPF 30 sunscreen allows you to stay in the sun 30 times longer than without protection while receiving the same level of sunburn.
In Australia, cosmetics are regulated by NICNAS. Adorn’s loose mineral foundation’s primary function is coverage, with sun protection as a secondary benefit. Adorn’s foundations are certified broad-spectrum, meaning they protect against both UVA and UVB rays.

Step 1: Prepping the Skin
Start with a well-moisturised face. For dry skin, apply a nourishing Adorn Cosmetics face oil over your moisturiser to create a smooth base.
Step 2: Apply Loose Mineral Foundation
Using our vegan kabuki brush or complexion brush, apply the loose mineral foundation to your skin. The foundation will provide a natural light to medium coverage.
How to Create a Dewy Foundation Finish
You have two options:
- Rosewater Face Mist: Lightly spritz rosewater over your face after applying the foundation. This adds moisture, gives your skin a dewy glow, and helps minimise the appearance of fine facial hairs.
- Face Oil: For extra hydration and radiance, apply a face oil over your moisturiser for a luminous finish.

How to Refill SPF 20 Mineral Foundation & Loose Mineral Makeup
- Separate the lid, sifter, and base and wash with hot, soapy water.
- Rinse thoroughly and let it air-dry completely.
- Alternatively, sanitise and wipe clean each component using 70% Isopropyl Alcohol or Ethanol from the chemist.
Open your loose mineral makeup refill and dispense into your clean jar. - Secure by pressing the sifter down until you hear a click. Replace the lid.
How to Refill Adorn Pressed Compact Foundation:
- Insert your foundation refill into the magnetic base it will click into place.
- To replace an empty foundation pan, tap the base upside down until the insert falls out, then insert your new refill foundation.
How to Refill Mineral Makeup Compact Stacks:
- Insert your makeup refill pan into the magnetic base, it will click into place.
- Stack additional bases as needed to create your custom makeup stack.
- Complete your makeup stack with the mirror lid.
- To replace an empty makeup pan, tap the base upside down until the insert falls out, then insert your new refill pan.
How to Refill Your Custom Mascara:
- Remove the twist cap from your new mascara base.
- Insert your new mascara wand or remove the wand from your old mascara, wash it thoroughly with hot, soapy water, and let it completely air dry before putting it into your new mascara base.
- Insert the clean wand into your new mascara base.
