Mature skin is not automatically dry. If you still experience oiliness or combination areas, the right pressed mineral foundation can give you polish and coverage without the slip of a richer cream formula. The key is using a finely milled powder in light layers rather than packing product onto the skin.

How to keep powder flattering on mature skin

Start with well-prepped skin. Apply a hydrating primer, then use a small amount of powder and build gradually only where you need more coverage. Avoid repeatedly layering over fine lines. If your skin is very dry or dehydrated, our Hydrating Cream Foundation Stick may be a better match.

Refill the pan, not the whole compact

When you finish your foundation, replace the pan inside your existing compact instead of buying the full component again. It costs less and reduces unnecessary packaging - one of the principles Adorn has built into the brand since its earliest years.

Use a fluffy brush for a light, all-over finish or a denser kabuki brush for fuller coverage.

Swirl into the powder, tap off excess, and buff into skin with circular motions, starting from the centre of the face and working outward.
