Understanding SPF in Adorn Mineral Foundations
Adorn Cosmetics’ natural mineral foundations are Australian-approved SPF 20+, offering broad-spectrum UVA and UVB Protection. SPF measures how well a product absorbs or blocks UVB rays. For example, properly applied SPF 30 sunscreen allows you to stay in the sun 30 times longer than without protection while receiving the same level of sunburn.
In Australia, cosmetics are regulated by NICNAS. Adorn’s loose mineral foundation’s primary function is coverage, with sun protection as a secondary benefit. Adorn’s foundations are certified broad-spectrum, meaning they protect against both UVA and UVB rays.
If sun protection is your main concern, use a primary sunscreen such as Adorn SPF50+ Mineral Face Sunscreen. Always follow the directions for use. Wear protective clothing, a hat, and eyewear when exposed to the sun. Avoid excessive sun exposure. Reapply regularly.

Step 1. Your liquid foundation is packaged in an airless bottle and may require continuous pumping initially to dispense product.
Start with a clean well-moisturised face. For dry skin, apply a nourishing Adorn Cosmetics face oil over your moisturiser to help minimise the appearance of flaky skin.
Step 2. Depending on the coverage you require you can use our vegan Kabuki Brush, Stippling Brush, or a damp Biodegradable Face Blender.
For a Dewy Finish
You have two options:
a) Rosewater Face Mist: Lightly spritz rosewater over your face after applying the foundation. The rosewater adds moisture giving your skin a fresh, dewy glow.
b) Face Oil: For extra hydration and glow, apply a face oil over your moisturiser. This will give the skin a luminous finish.
How to achieve a matte foundation finish
Step 1. Prepping the Skin: Start with a clean and moisturised face.
Step 2. Apply Loose Mineral Foundation: Using our vegan kabuki brush or complexion brush, apply the loose mineral foundation to your skin.
Step 3. Creating a matte finish
You have two options:
a) Setting Powder for Oily Skin: For oily skin, dust a thin layer of setting powder over the foundation. The Adorn Cosmetic setting powder helps to control oil and keeps your makeup in place throughout the day.
b) HD Miracle Blur Setting Powder for Imperfections: If you have large pores or lines, opt for the HD Miracle Blur Setting powder. This powder blurs the appearance of fine lines and pores, giving your skin a smooth, airbrushed look.
How to Apply Adorn Cosmetics Liquid Mineral Foundation
Step 1. Prep the skin: Start with a freshly cleansed and moisturised face.
Step 2. Start applying our mineral foundation from the center of your face, gradually working your way outward to ensure even coverage. Our liquid foundation is best used over water based moisturisers and primers. If your foundation goes bally you may need to wait a little longer in between applying your moisturiser and foundation.
Step 3. Blending into the neck: To avoid a visible line of demarcation between your face and neck, gently blend the foundation down onto your neck using light strokes.
Step 4 (Optional). Mattify: If you have oily skin or live in a humid climate you can set the Adorn Cosmetics' Liquid Mineral Foundation down with our Oil-Control Setting Powder. Use a soft, fluffy brush to lightly dust the powder over your face.
Dry Skin? Spritz our rosewater face mist over your foundation.
Shade Selection: Find your personal mineral foundation shade by applying a small amount along your jaw line in the cooler months, and décolletage/chest in the warmer months; if it blends and there are no obvious lines, then it's a perfect match.

Free shipping is available within Australia and New Zealand on orders over AUD $139. Standard shipping costs apply for orders under $139.
Orders are delivered via Australia Post or a registered courier and may require a signature on delivery unless otherwise stated.

Delivery of Your Order
Orders are dispatched to the shipping address provided. Signature is required unless Safe Drop is authorised. To request Safe Drop, email advice@adorncosmetics.com.au within 15 minutes of placing your order.
Shipping Policy – Authority to Leave (ATL)
- Delivery Responsibility: ATL parcels are considered received upon delivery and do not require a signature.
- Liability Waiver: We are not liable for lost, stolen or damaged parcels once marked delivered. Claims must be made with the courier.
- No Compensation: Refunds or replacements are not provided for ATL deliveries marked as delivered.
- Delivery Notifications: Tracking and delivery confirmation will be sent via email or SMS.
Tracking Your Order
Once dispatched, you’ll receive tracking via email or SMS. You can also view it in your Adorn account. For updates, contact the courier listed in your tracking details.
Order Delays
Delivery timelines are estimates and not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to carrier issues or destination. We do not accept liability for such delays.
If delivery instructions were left, check common safe areas (e.g. meter box). Confirm your shipping details in your order confirmation.
Incorrect Address
Contact advice@adorncosmetics.com.au (subject: 'Change of Address') within 15 minutes of ordering. Include your name, order number and correct address. Changes are not guaranteed once processed.
We are not liable for incorrect addresses. Orders returned due to incorrect address incur redelivery costs. Replacements won’t be sent until the original is returned in good condition.
Incomplete Orders
In rare cases, an item may sell out after purchase. If so, the remainder of your order will ship and we’ll contact you about the unavailable item.
Click & Collect
Pick up your Adorn order from our HQ in Keysborough, VIC. Choose “Click & Collect” at checkout. Collection ready in 1–2 business days. Bring ID. Uncollected orders will be followed up after 7 days.

Order Cancellation
To cancel your order, email advice@adorncosmetics.com.au (subject: ‘Cancel Order’) within 15 minutes of ordering. Include your full name and order number. Orders cannot be cancelled after dispatch.
Lost, Stolen or Damaged Parcels
We are not responsible for parcels lost, stolen or damaged in transit. Claims must be raised with Australia Post. Once their 14-day investigation is complete and liability accepted, we’ll replace the order.
Stock Availability
We do our best to reflect real-time stock. If your item becomes unavailable, we’ll contact you within 24 hours to arrange a backorder or refund.
Returns Policy
- Try our sample range before purchasing full-size items. We do not accept returns or exchanges for used items selected in an incorrect shade or product type.
- If you receive a faulty item, please email advice@adorncosmetics.com.au with your proof of purchase and details of the product issue. Faulty products must be reported within 30 days of receipt and must be returned with less than half the product used. Please note, we may request a photo or video to assess the fault, as this assists us in reviewing and improving our products for our valued customers.
- Samples and refills are not returnable.
- No responsibility for products spoiled due to incorrect usage or hygiene.
- Returns via stockists must comply with their policy. Concerns must be raised directly with the stockist.
- Refunds are processed by reversing the original transaction. Timing depends on payment provider:
- PayPal: Immediate to your PayPal account.
- Afterpay: Up to 5 business days.
- Credit/Debit Card: Typically 5 business days, up to 30 for AMEX.
