Makeup for skin that has changed
Adorn creates Australian-made makeup for mature, sensitive and changing skin - because the products that worked at 25 do not always behave the same way at 45, 55 or 65.
Changing skin may be drier, more reactive, more textured, more pigmented, oilier in some areas or simply less predictable. Our makeup is designed around those realities: breathable coverage, comfortable textures, targeted correction and colour that brings life back to the complexion without a heavy, mask-like finish.
Our approach: prepare the skin, choose the right texture, use less product and build only where you need it.
Start with complexion
If your foundation suddenly looks dry, catches on texture, settles into lines or no longer wears the way it once did, the answer is not necessarily more coverage. Start by matching the formula to your skin now.
- Dry or dehydrated mature skin: Hydrating Cream Foundation Stick or SPF 20 BB Cream.
- Sensitive or reactive skin: SPF 20+ Loose Mineral Foundation.
- Combination or oily mature skin: Soft-Focus Liquid Foundation.
- Oil-prone skin that prefers powder: Mineral Pressed Powder Foundation.
Not sure? Our $10 Foundation Shade Finder lets you compare four foundation formulas, nearby shades and two primers on your own skin before committing to full size.
Prep before you perfect
Changing skin often looks better when it is properly prepared. Our moisturiser primers are designed to add hydration and comfort before foundation so you can use less base product and still achieve a fresher finish.
The Radiance Peptide Moisturiser Primer is ideal when skin looks dull or dehydrated; the Hydrating Primer Moisturiser is another easy skin-prep option for dryness and comfort.
Correct only where you need it
Use concealer and corrective colour strategically rather than covering the entire face more heavily. Peach-toned correction can help brighten the appearance of under-eye darkness, while targeted concealer can be placed over pigmentation, redness or blemishes and blended into your foundation.
Bring life back to the face
Blush, bronzer and highlighter can be particularly flattering as skin changes because they restore warmth, dimension and freshness after foundation. Choose creams and liquids when you prefer a dewier finish, or finely milled minerals when you like powder textures.
Apply colour gradually. The goal is not to redraw the face - it is to bring back natural-looking warmth and definition.
Define eyes and lips without overcomplicating the routine
Our mascara, liners, brow products, eyeshadows and lip colours are designed to make everyday definition simple. Build a small routine around the products you actually use rather than feeling you need every trend.
Australian made. Refillable by design.
Adorn was founded in 2008 and many of our makeup products are available in refill formats. When the formula runs out, you can replace the product without always replacing the full component. We also avoid unnecessary outer boxes and plastic seals across the range.
Adorn is certified vegan, cruelty-free, toxin- and allergen-free by Safe Cosmetics Australia.
Try before full size
Samples are available across many of our core makeup products, because colour and texture are personal. Test products on your own skin, in your own lighting and through a normal day before deciding what belongs in your routine.
Frequently asked questions
What makeup is best for mature skin?
The best makeup for mature skin is the makeup that suits your current skin type. Dry skin often benefits from creamier, more hydrating textures; oil-prone mature skin may prefer lightweight liquid or finely milled powder. Skin preparation and light application are just as important as the formula itself.
Can mature skin wear mineral powder foundation?
Yes. Mature skin can wear mineral powder foundation very successfully, especially when skin is well prepared and the product is applied in thin layers. If your skin is very dry or dehydrated, a cream or BB formula may feel more comfortable.
How do I stop foundation making me look older?
Start with hydration, use less foundation, build only where you need extra coverage and avoid repeatedly powdering textured areas. Choosing a formula suited to your current skin type can make a significant difference to how fresh the finish looks.
